Nestled in a mahogany forest among other upscale homes 850 feet above sea level, the Caribbean vacation rental Southwind Villa, built in 1956 on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, has been completely modernized and redecorated.
It contains 3,500 square feet of interior space, 3,000 square feet of exterior space, features a brand new kitchen, new bathrooms, all new furnishings, and exhibits a look and feel of a Caribbean home, not a rental villa.
This villa also features five air conditioned bedrooms, four baths, and can comfortably accommodate 10 to 12 people.
Entry Level
The new kitchen contains a 5-burner gas range top, double electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker. The counters are corian with tile back splashes. The plentiful cabinetry contains everything a well-stocked kitchen should.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a pantry where the clothes washer and dryer are located for your convenience. A gas grill is located immediately outside.

The Southwind vacation villa terrace connects the kitchen, outdoor dining room and the living room, which is extremely comfortable and tastefully furnished.
The living room opens to a den that contains a cable TV and VCR.
Three bedrooms and two baths on this level are at opposite ends of the building for privacy.
The Pool Level.
The pool level contains one bedroom and bath and a large sitting room that opens onto the pool deck. This room is equipped with a wet bar, ice maker and cable TV/VCR.
Private Third Level
The fifth bedroom and bath are located on the very private third level.
Almost every room including the kitchen has wonderful Caribbean harbor views of St. Thomas. On clear days, St. Croix - the southernmost Virgin Island about 40 miles south of St. Thomas - can be seen on the horizon.
